Our Professional Career

The Grupo DAS is compose by professionals with more than 30 years of experience in the aeronautical industry, combining expertise in air operations, international regulations, airspace design, and instrument procedures management.
Our knowledge is based not only on the application of standards such as ICAO Doc. 8168, but also on direct experience in aviation from the cockpit, technical analysis, and strategic planning.

A milestone that made a real difference

In 2015, Gastón Orecchia, Carlos Fraga, and Juan Manuel Suarez—then colleagues at Aerolíneas Argentinas—took on a key challenge for national aviation: developing the first RNP AR procedure in Argentina at Aviador Campos Airport in San Martín de los Andes.

This procedure resolved two critical problems:

  • The lack of reliable air connectivity with a city with complex geographical conditions.

  • The risk of unstable approaches, providing an effective operational safety solution to the airlines operating the route.

The project also included the implementation of the first Advance RNP takeoff procedure in the region, and the design of contingency procedures for engine failure and missed approaches, in line with international best practices.

The birth of Grupo DAS

Following this milestone, Grupo DAS was formally established in 2016, with the aim of providing a technical response to a strategic need: the modernization and efficiency of Argentine airspace.

In the following years, each member of the group continued to develop their careers in different areas of the industry, gaining experience in design, management, and operations.

Today, Grupo DAS is resuming its journey with a new professional phase, combining this trajectory to once again provide comprehensive, safe, and sustainable solutions.

Our team

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Together, we form a team that not only understands the regulations but has applied them in the field, in real-life scenarios, solving specific challenges with a direct impact on air safety and connectivity.

Today, we are ready to support operators, authorities, and governments on the path toward modern, efficient, and sustainable aviation.
